The AI assistant
Chatting with Pivit, choosing a model and assistant, analysing your screen, and managing conversations.
AI features require the Pro plan.
Three ways in
- Ask AI — type your question into the command bar and send it straight through.
- Open AI Chat — the full conversation view, with history.
- Analyse Screen — hands the assistant what is on your screen right now. Useful for "what does this error mean" without describing the error.
You can also attach a file to a conversation from any file result's actions menu, via Add to AI context.
Choosing a model
Settings → AI & Assistant → Models picks the default text model for new conversations, and controls which models appear in the picker at all. Hiding the providers you never use makes the picker a short list rather than a catalogue.
Default Thinking Level sets how much reasoning models that support it should do before answering. Leave it on automatic unless you have a reason not to — deeper thinking costs time on questions that did not need it.
Assistants
An assistant is a personality and set of behaviours applied on top of whichever model you are using. Pick one under Settings → AI & Assistant → General → Assistant, or leave it unset for the default voice.
Additional Information on the same page is free text that goes to the assistant every conversation. It is the place for standing context — what you work on, which language you write in, how you like answers formatted.
Reasoning
Models that reason show their working while they think. Post-Response Thinking keeps that chain of thought visible after the answer lands rather than collapsing it; turn it off under Settings → AI & Assistant → General if you only want the answer.
Conversations

Changing the delete window re-times conversations already sitting in the archive, so shortening it will remove things sooner than you might expect.
Notifications
Long answers do not need you watching. Under Settings → Notifications:
- Answer Ready — a desktop notification when a reply lands while the chat is closed
- Needs Input — when the assistant is waiting on you to approve something
- Routine Complete — when a scheduled routine finishes
What the assistant can do
