Routines
Work the assistant does on a schedule — creating routines, watching runs, and stopping one mid-flight.
A routine is a prompt the assistant runs on a schedule without you being there. A morning summary of your calendar, a weekly check on a repository, a reminder that pulls together whatever you need before a recurring meeting.
Routines live under Settings → AI & Assistant → Routines.
Creating one
Give the routine a prompt, a schedule and a name. The prompt is written the way you would ask in a chat, and the reply is addressed to you — a routine is you asking the assistant to do something on a timer, not a note to itself.
The assistant can also create routines for you. Ask it to check something every weekday morning and it will set one up, which you can then edit like any other.
Watching a run
Each routine keeps its run history. Open a run to see what the assistant actually did, including the reasoning and any tools it used, and the resulting conversation is a normal thread you can carry on in.
A run in progress shows live rather than appearing only once it is finished, so you can watch a long routine work and step in if it is heading the wrong way. Stopping a run partway leaves what it produced so far intact.
Notifications
Settings → Notifications → Routine Complete sends a desktop notification when a run finishes. Since the point of a routine is that you are not watching, this is usually worth leaving on.
Turning one off
Disable a routine to keep it and its history without it firing, or delete it to remove it entirely. Disabling is the better move for anything seasonal — you get the schedule and prompt back when you need them.
