Pivit

Skills and connectors

Reusable capabilities the assistant can pull in per task, and signing in to your apps so it can use them.

Skills

A skill is a reusable capability — a set of instructions the assistant pulls in when a task calls for it, instead of you re-explaining the same process every time. Skills live under Settings → AI & Assistant → Skills.

Type / in chat to invoke one directly.

Where skills come from

  • You write them. Create a skill in settings with a name and its instructions.
  • The assistant writes them. With Assistant Skills on, when it works out something useful it can save that as a skill for next time.
  • They are already on your device. With Third-Party Skills on, Pivit finds skills installed locally and makes them available.

Cloud and local skills

Skills you create in Pivit are stored in your account and follow you between devices. Skills discovered on your device stay on that device and do not sync — they belong to the machine, not the account.

Connectors

Connectors sign the assistant in to apps you already use, so it can act in them on your behalf. Settings → AI & Assistant → Connectors has two halves:

  • Browse Apps — search hundreds of apps and connect one with a single sign-in.
  • Connected Apps — everything you have already signed into.

You can also connect an app from inside a conversation. Ask for something that needs an app you have not connected and the assistant offers the connection there, then carries on once you have signed in. The Connect Apps command opens the same page from the command bar.

What a connected app can do

Connecting an app gives the assistant that app's tools. Manage them individually on Settings → AI & Assistant → Tools, under App Tools — an app you connected for one purpose does not have to expose everything it can do.

Sensitive actions still ask for approval regardless of what is connected. See Tool approval.

Disconnecting

Disconnect an app under Connected Apps. That revokes Pivit's access and removes its tools from the assistant.
