Pivit
Built-in Plugins

Overview

The nine plugins that ship with Pivit, what each one covers, and what they have in common.

Everything Pivit does out of the box comes from a plugin. Nine ship enabled, and they behave exactly like plugins you install yourself — each can be disabled, given a colour, and have shortcuts assigned to its commands under Settings → Plugins.

What they share

Plugins written by other people install the same way and get the same treatment: see Community plugins.

They are all optional. Disable one and its commands vanish from the command bar and the Pivit Wheel. Nothing else changes.

Their commands are all bindable. Any command on any of these pages can be given a global shortcut, or a slot on the Pivit Wheel. The ones worth binding are called out on each page.

They decide their own relevance. None of these plugins matches on names alone. Window Management answers to "tile" and "expand" as well as "snap" and "maximise", Quick Search recognises an address as an address, and the calculator recognises a sum. Typing what you mean generally works better than typing a command's exact name.

Some have settings. Quick Search and Files have their own pages under Settings → Plugins; the rest need no configuration.
