Instant local file search, the File Explorer view, the actions on a result, and tuning the index.
Searches your machine by filename and browses folders without leaving the command bar. Three commands: Search Files, File Explorer and Rebuild File Index.
Search Files
Type part of a filename and matches appear. Searches answer instantly because Pivit keeps a local index rather than walking the disk each time — the index is built in the background at startup and kept up to date as files change.
The index lives on your machine. It is not uploaded, and cloud sync does not include it.
File Explorer
Browses folders inside the bar. Type a path — including one with environment variables like %APPDATA% — and it opens there, then you move through folders from the keyboard.
What you can do with a result
Every file result carries a full actions menu, so finding a file and acting on it is one gesture rather than a trip to Explorer:

Add to AI context hands the file to the AI assistant, which is the quick way to ask about a document you have just found.
Delete is permanent. Move to Recycle Bin is the recoverable one.
Tuning the index
Under Settings → Plugins → Files. The wider the index, the more it finds — and the more there is to sift through.

Your home folder is always indexed. Additional folders are for anything outside it; exclusions win over everything, so an excluded folder inside an included one stays out.
Rebuild File Index
Rebuilds from scratch. Worth running if results look stale, or after changing what gets indexed — the new settings apply to future changes immediately but a rebuild is what re-scans everything already on disk.
Status
The Files settings page shows the index's current state and how many files it holds. A first build on a large disk takes a few minutes; search works on what has been indexed so far while it finishes.
