Results are formatted for reading — thousands separated, long results truncated in the list so they do not push everything else off screen.
Copying the result
A maths result carries several actions, so the answer can go straight to your clipboard in the form you need:

Hex and binary only appear when the result is a whole number, since they mean nothing otherwise.

Settings
None. The calculator is on or off.
Because it only claims input that actually looks like a sum or a date question, it costs you nothing to leave enabled — it stays out of results the rest of the time.
